Chief Minister to virtually inaugurate, lay the foundation stone of 146 projects costing more than Rs. 2000 crore on January 24

Chandigarh, January 22 - In Haryana, since 2014, a journey of transformative development has unfolded under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Over the past nine years, the state has witnessed a resolute commitment to progress. Continuing the same, on January 24, 2024, a virtual spectacle is set to unfold from Hisar as the Chief Minister is once again set to unveil a visionary tapestry of development projects, spanning education, health, roads, electricity, and water management.

In a state-level ceremony, Sh. Manohar Lal will not only inaugurate but also lay the foundation stone for an impressive array of 153 projects, a collective embodiment of aspirations totaling more than Rs. 2100 crore, highlighting the tireless efforts invested in steering the state toward an era of unparalleled growth. The event will mark the inauguration of 75 ambitious projects costing Rs. 741 crore and laying the foundation stone of 78 projects with an investment of Rs. 1374 crore.

Notably, through the virtual medium, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation for 10 major projects, while the inauguration and foundation laying for the remaining projects in other districts will be done by Central Ministers, State Cabinet Ministers, MPs, and MLAs.

Major projects include the Construction of New Building of International Convention Centre, Sector-78, Faridabad costing approximately Rs. 333 crore, widening and strengthening of Road Budhlada from Punjab Border to Ratia- Fatehabad-Bhattu-Bhadra upto Rajasthan Border costing around Rs. 185 crore, Construction of 4 lanes ROB on Rewari Narnaul Railway line crossing Rewari-Mahendragarh costing about Rs. 86 crore, Improvement of Sanoli-Panipat Road upto (GT Road NH-44) costing around Rs. 76 crore, Construction of Teaching Block-III, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind costing about Rs. 60 crore and the foundation laying of independent canal-based water works, Ratia Town, costing around Rs. 55 crore.

Additionally, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the two STPs of 15 MLD and 25 MLD capacity in Panipat town, costing approximately Rs. 87 crore, augmentation of sewerage network in deficit area including all ancillary works, reuse of treated wastewater in Sonipat Town, costing around Rs. 62 crore and augmentation work of water Supply Scheme for 10 villages and providing distribution systems in deprived areas of Sonipat Town under AMRUT Programme, costing about Rs. 58 crore.

Meanwhile, on several occasions, Sh.  Manohar Lal has also inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects throughout the state multiple times through digital means. Doing so digitally from a single location for projects of such extensive scale is a significant example of e-governance.
